| "...delivered with a frozen smile and a hint of condescension." - NYT
That's an exact description of McCain's smile. A smile that has consistently unnerved me, but I could not fully grasp why. It's like he's trying to clean up for public consumption during the elections by putting on a smile, but instead the unnaturalness of it is mildly terrifying. It's like shrink wrap that is barely able to hold back the indignant rage that yearns to burst forth and shred the shell game that is campaigning. It's as if he is saying, "This is the b&llsh*t I must wade through to get elected?"
Most of this is surely in my head. Most of it. This is politics. These are politicians. Get over it.

| I swear I heard banging and moaning upstairs. Welcome to the new house.

| "Yes, deluding people with temporary peace of mind." - Hikari's wife - Paranioa Agent
She's comparing Lil Slugger, a ghostly character who helps stressed out people looking for an escape by attacking them and turning them into victims, with Maromi, a sleepily cheery, cute little cartoon dog that millions tune out to on TV. Temporary peace of mind. Yeah.

| It's like I want to meet new people without having to talk to strangers. That's an awfully convenient world I'm expecting.
